  • One Month Certification programme on Operation and Maintenance of Thermal Power Plant commencing from 7th May 2014 for Under Graduate/ Diploma Engineering students of any discipline . Contact immediately for registration.

  • Vocational Training for undergraduates undergoing since 30th January 2014 at GIET, Gunpur.
  • One Day National Level workshop in collaboration with Odisha State Pollution Control Board on “Industrial Water Treatment- Challenges & Opportunities” on 23 November 2013 at Bhubaneswar
  • Training for NEBOSH, UK offered International General Certificate Course in Occupational Safety and Health to start from 4th February 2014.
  • Valediction Ceremony of 11th Batch on 1st February 2014.
  • 12th Batch of 30 weeks training on operation and maintenance of Thermal Power Plant is currently undergoing in plant training.
  • One month vocational training on Thermal power plant for GIET,Gunupur students held in july 2013.
  • 11th batch 30 weeks training on Operation & Maintenance of Thermal Power Plant started from 8th July 2013.
  • 10th batch 30 weeks training on Operation & Maintenance of Thermal Power Plant started from March 2013 & completed.
  • BOILER TUBE FAILURE for (KPS) completed on March 2013.
  • 1st batch INSTRUMENTATION SYSTEM for (KPS) completed on March 2013.
  • Simulator Training to Experienced Engineers from M/s OPGC Ltd. on plant emergency and critical condition for 1 week.
  • 9th batch, (30 weeks) Operation & Maintenance of Thermal Power Plant training started from 29th October 2012 and completed on 25.05.2013.
  • 2 weeks Combined Cycle Simulator Training to 8 trainees from SEMBCORP, U.A.E. completed on 12.10.12.
  • 24 weeks theory training on Combined Cycle Power Plant to 9 trainees from Tripura started on 09.07.12.and completed on 22.12.2012
  • 8th batch of 30 weeks training on Operation & Maintenance of Thermal Power Plant started from 16.07.12 and completed on 09.02.2013
  • 7th batch of 30 weeks training programme completed on 30th September 2012.
  • Advanced PC based Simulator Training course of 2Weeks duration avilable separately for the following.
  • • Super Critical Simulator (700 MW)
    • Sub Critical Simulator (375 MW)
    • Combined Cycle Power Plant Simulator(635 MW)
  • Simulator training (sub-critical plant – 375MW capacity) was imparted to two batches of total 42engineers from M/s GMR at OMS Power Training And Research Institute for duration 15days each from 12th to 24th March 2012 & 18.07 2012 to 07.08.2012.
  • 6th batch session for 30 weeks training programme will complete by end of April 2012.
  • 5th batch session for 30 weeks training programme on Thermal Power Plant. Duration (01.07.2011 to 25.01.2012)
  • 4th batch of 26 Weeks training programme on O & M of Thermal Power Plant. Duration (01.12.2010 to 31.05.2011)
  • 3rd batch of 26 Weeks training programme on O & M of Thermal Power Plant. Duration (01.06.2010 to 27.11.2010)
  • 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th,7th, 8th & 9th batch trainees have already been placed on job and 10th batch placement in progress.
  • OMS Power Training And Research Institute has recognition as category-I institute to provide training on Thermal, Hydro and Power Management from Central Electricity Authority (CEA) - Ministry of Power- Govt. of India.
  • Different onsite training programme were conducted by OMSPTRI at IB-Thermal Power Station to the employees of OPGC on the subjects of Boiler & Auxiliaries, Turbine & Auxiliaries, Electrical systems & Balance of Plants in January 2010.
  • A training programme was conducted by OMSPTRI at Monnet Power Plant, Anugul for a period of two week on the subject of Thermal Power plant in September & October 2011
  • onsite training programme was conducted by OMSPTRI for employees of LANCO during November 2011
  • Onsite training programme was conducted by OMSPTRI for employees of Nava Bharat Ventures Limited for a period of one week in October & November 2011.
  • Vocational Training:-
    • 1st batch of Vocational Training (1 month) has been successfully completed in July 2009.
    • 2nd batch of Vocational Training (1 month) has been successfully completed in August 2009.
    • 3rd batch of Vocational Training (1 month) has been successfully completed on 14th July 2010.
    • 4th batch of Vocational Training (1 month) on Thermal Power Plant completed in September 2011.
    • 5th batch of Vocational training (1 month) on Thermal Power Plant completed 01.09.2012.
  • Regular Evening Class Session available for working professionals in Non Power Sector.
